    The Freedom Trail

[Just One of Best MSN Spaces ]

"Everybody is just a stranger but
That's the danger in going my own way
    .."

    Dear Gabrielle,

What if you have two choices?

    (1) To go on a holiday with your best friends to hot, sultry Dubai or

    (2) To make your own way in mild Boston

    Which one would you choose?

In normal circumstance, I would choose the former. Afterall, nothing beats great company when exploring exotic locations!

But what if that choice is really not yours to make? What if you woke up one Saturday morning with the irresistible urge to fly away to a City that never crossed your mind before. You know nothing about it, yet the urge was overwhelming. It was spontaneous, irrational and random. Boston was calling.

I had a feeling that I was meant to find something there.

Five days and four nights, I explored the streets of Boston. I delved deep into the history of the USS Constitution and shopped till I dropped in Newbury Street. I watched ships sailed by in Rhowes Wharf. I dined and marveled at the panoramic view on Top Of The Hub.

    Just me, myself and I.

My every single senses, they were heightened. I remembered breathing in the salty midnight air and feeling so alive! That was when it hit me - I love being on my own.

Had I not been single, I would not have done as many things nor travel to as many places. I would not have known myself as much. I do not think I would have dared to follow my heart.

And to think that I spent so much time fretting about lost love affairs!  Things, they happen for a reason, Mom used to say.

"So what was Elle meant to find in Boston?"
    I hear you ask.

Well Gabe, I found my own two feet journeying along Boston's Freedom Trail. You see sometimes, a girl has to travel far to find something close to her heart.

My msn thingy is not working properly, so I cannot see when you updated your Blog.. Plus, I've had exams all week (my excuse :P) 3 to go. AND. We're going to Blackpool. Oh.Yes. Me, The Boiz, Moll, Smackrat, and Horselegs (I think!) 21 June. Cos they will all have finished their exams then, Me and Rob < Food Tech on 23rd!       So you like this single thing. I love this Me and James thing! Well, first he walks me to the bus stop, cos he had nothing to do. Then he feeds me grapes (which were his) and starts showering me with all this affection < I don't know what's gotten into him! Can't wait to see what he gets me for my Birthday hahaha! 12 red roses and breakfast in bed. Oh.Yeah :P
So yes. Everything is good here. Love the pic. 19 Days. Can't ACTUALLY wait. To go to Six Flags White Water. I'm a proper kid me. Hope all is well. How good is the weather!

    My Dearest Elle,
Once again you have sojourned to America but not close enough.  I seethe with envy that some other American bloke got to gaze upon your grace before me.
Did you go to Bergen Park and to the seafood establishments.  Utterly delightful what culinary fantasies you can indulged there.  I do pray that it was part of your itinerary
    Luv u luv,

Ciao, bella! How are you? Boston, huh? I have always wanted to go there! The part of Texas I live in is pretty dry and arid. But it has it's good points. The beautiful parts are the Guadalupe Mountains and the Coast and of course San Antonio (my favorite city in the world). I think it's cool that you found your own two feet. One day I hope I find my way as well. Lots of love...miss ya!

I have never been to Boston but you make it sound lovely.  I have travelled a few times on my own.  I can't say it is one of my favourite things to do but you do tend to learn things about yourself.

What a wonderful trip, Elle! I've never been to Boston but I was on vacation all weekend. It rained all but one of the beach days which left the girls and I to find some different things to do. It was amazing because we spent most of the trip soaked to the bone, laughing and playing in the rain. A couple of guys seemed interested in me, but I wasn't on the trip looking for that it turned out. The more time I spent just having a good time, the less time I spent worrying about things. It all comes down to I've honestly set my eyes on someone specific and don't want to settle for less. How odd. In a few short weeks I've went from the fling queen to looking at someone...someone being him. Him who you ask? Take care, dearie, I might write about it soon.

    warmest wishes and xx,

    G'Day Elle,
I was in Boston once in a training course for a week with another work colleague, I had a wife and a daughter waiting for me at the time in Venezuela so I did not have any romantic interest, we went to a few pubs and found a lot of Irish inheritance, we went to the Boston aquarium which it was great at the time as I did not know better (I've seen better since then) , we tried to go to a basketball Celtics game (very famous team at the time with Larry Bird) and it was sold out and scalpers asking the Royal crown for a couple of tickets, anyway you just brought me all those memories with this blog lol. I have had similar experience as yours as being by myself and single this time in cities where I have been for first time but that's another story ;). Anyway, thanks for the visit and I felt very flaterred with your comment ;). Have  a lovely day!
    Hugs from devil's land
